Little Monsters on the Road - First Scare in Town
Silomil, Zlobo, Mudroš and Fufomila are four shaggy little monsters who set off to town for their very first scare – but instead of frightening anyone, they end up helping children overcome their fear of the dark.
IN THE LITTLE MONSTERS' HOUSE
Deep in an enchanted forest, among tall trees and glowing flowers, stood a little house.
No granny lived there.
No elf lived there either.
Four little monsters lived there!
Blue Silomil was big and strong.
Green Zlobo was forever grumpy.
Purple Mudroš carried the big Book of Monster Wisdom with him everywhere.
And pink Fufomila was always smiling and hugging her teddy bear, Brumko.
One evening Mudroš opened his big book.
MUDROŠ: Listen! It says here: "Every proper monster must scare a child at least once."
Zlobo jumped off his chair.
ZLOBO: At last! Tonight we'll be scary!
FUFOMILA: Booo!
And she started to laugh.
ZLOBO: Fufomila! You won't scare anyone like that!
SILOMIL: I'll show you how it's done. After all, I'm not afraid of anything!
From behind the cupboard came: SQUEAK!
Silomil jumped.
SILOMIL: What was that?!
Fufomila giggled.
FUFOMILA: Hee-hee-hee! Not afraid of anything, Silomil?
SONG 1 – OFF WE GO TO SCARE!
ALL:
Tip, tap, tip, we're on our way,
to the town we hurry today.
Boo here, boo there, boo-boo-boo,
four little monsters coming through!
Hop and skip and one more stride,
jump the stream from side to side.
Boo here, boo there, boo-boo-boo,
we'll scare the children, yes we do!
FUFOMILA: But only a tiny bit!
THE ROAD TO TOWN
The little monsters set off along the forest path.
The moon shone above their heads, and little lanterns lit their way.
Zlobo practised his scary:
ZLOBO: Booo!
