The Witch and Mambabus 4
A super funny story for children
NARRATOR: Beyond seven hills, beyond eight forests and one roundabout where even the postman had already got lost three times, there stood a little crooked cottage.
It had a green roof, a purple chimney and a door that, instead of a doorbell, shouted:
DOOR: “WHO IS IT?!”
NARRATOR: In that cottage lived a witch called Babuľa.
But she was no ordinary witch.
Babuľa loved travelling!
Every morning she opened a map of the world, closed her eyes and poked it with her finger.
WITCH BABUĽA: “Today I'll fly… HERE!”
NARRATOR: Once she hit Paris.
Once Africa.
Once the North Pole.
And once, by mistake, she poked herself right on the nose.
WITCH BABUĽA: “OUCH! Right, today I'm staying at home.”
NARRATOR: Babuľa travelled on her old broom called Štefánia.
Štefánia was fast.
Well…
She used to be.
In the last few years she had been making very suspicious noises at take-off.
BROOM ŠTEFÁNIA: “VRRRR… PRRRT… COUGH-COUGH… POP!”
WITCH BABUĽA: “Štefánia, we can manage one more trip!”
NARRATOR: One fine morning Babuľa put on her glasses, her pointy hat and her very favourite yellow socks with little ducks on them.
WITCH BABUĽA: “Today we're flying round the world!”
NARRATOR: She sat on the broom.
She grabbed the handle.
She took a deep breath.
And she shouted:
WITCH BABUĽA: “ŠTEFÁNIA! TAKE OFF!”
BROOM ŠTEFÁNIA: “VRRRRRRR!”
NARRATOR: The broom gave a hop.
BROOM ŠTEFÁNIA: “PRRRRRT!”
